Position Description:
This Engineering Associate position will work in the Design and Construction group of the Arterial Management Division in the Transportation & Public Works Department. The position will be responsible for:

1) Managing the traffic signal request program including the coordination of data collection and drafting of signal studies.

2) Being the primary point of contact with Signs and Markings for entering work tickets, reviewing plans and verifying invoices.

3) Being the primary contact for Texas811 to ensure that AMD enters Texas 811 tickets as needed and reviews Texas811 tickets on a daily basis and assigns to the appropriate AMD work group to mark in the field.

This position will report to the Supervising Engineer of the Design and Construction group.

Salary Range
Engineering Associate A: $27.41 – $33.30
Engineering Associate B: $29.23 – $36.54
Engineering Associate C: $32.23 – $40.29

This may include filling other vacancies with the same job title in other division/work locations within the City of Austin Public Works Department. Decisions on assigned selection may be made at the time of hire based on the business needs of the department.
