Engineering Change Order (ECO) Analyst , Quality & Lean Manufacturing
Description As a Engineering Change Order (ECO) Analyst you will help refine processes and grow the capabilities of current systems to meet our needs as a developer of world class consumer products and drive continuous improvement. You will be responsible for seamless, rapid and global implementation of material, BOMs, and product data supporting the business strategies and supply chain requirements. Additionally, you will support global master data setup for the products from early development through EOL. We are looking for an individual who is responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You must be motivated to work in a data driven environment, have a desire to drive process improvement, and long for the opportunity to analyze systematic issues and implement solutions to challenging problems. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of Agile or alike PLM tools. In this role, you will: - Lead key Company-wide resource for master data maintenance and escalations - Analyze, process, and track Change Orders and other design documentation submissions to minimize processing time between submission and implementation, optimizing department throughput - Interface with all necessary individuals in supporting departments in order to accurately process changes and structure new products - Analyze problems of diverse scope to identify solutions - Participate in continuous process improvements focused on systems, reporting, and data analysis efficiencies - Create and publish project metrics Key job responsibilities - You use your skills and intuition to problem solve tasks that are not clear - Your responsibilities extend to refining processes, improving system capabilities, and ensuring seamless global implementation of documents and product data - You influence your team and work with cross-functional teams to meet a goal, or adopt a CM Policy/Procedure/Best Practice - You are able to understand and manage difficult problems and you use your knowledge to communicate clearly with your customers/partner teams/stakeholders - You create concise training materials and deliver presentations with clarity - Your work impacts the quality of products released to mass production or customers - Direct experience in process documentation/improvement - When it comes to improvements, you take full ownership to identify gaps, root causes, and optimize processes to enhance your teams performance - Proficiency in Excel is required, along with an analytical mindset and the ability to understand and generate metrics reports Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams - 3+ years of Agile or alike PLM tools - 5+ years of direct experience with Configuration Management processing change orders - Experience with creating high level status reports for leadership, and updating/creating policies and procedures Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of direct experience in process documentation/improvement - Demonstrated skill in collaborating with and influencing both peers and management, effectively facilitating consensus among stakeholders with diverse interests - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with outstanding relationship building skills - Proven track record of complex and creative problem solving - Ability to work in an ambiguous, 'internet-speed' environment Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market.
