This unique opportunity at Despatch, a capital equipment manufacturer with a market-leading position, will provide a broad engineering experience including design, documentation and hands-on testing. **JOB** **SUMMARY** We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering student to co-op with us during the 2025 semesters. + Full-time, 40 hours/wk + Typical business hours, Mon-Fri + Position located on-site in **Lakeville, Minnesota** (https://www.despatch.com) **PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES** Examples of past intern tasks and projects include: + Validate product offering of oven shelving capacities by calculating component deflections, comparing with measured values and writing a report with recommendations + Product/component simplification and standardization which included analysis of existing components, research on alternatives and design (Solid Works 3D CAD) of new components + Testing of oven chamber temperature and air flow uniformity, installing thermocouples and anemometers, operating data logger, graphing results + The engineering co-op student will be teamed-up with a mentor and will work on a main project and multiple minor projects. The scopes of the projects are chosen such that the intern can complete many of the projects within the co-op period.
