Your OpportunityOur western Canada Power team is currently seeking Engineering Students who are looking to gain exposure to a dynamic organization. Specific assignments and tasks will be dependent upon the candidate’s field of study and relevant experience. Assignments will fall within the domains of electrical, civil, structural, and environmental engineering as they pertain to a variety of engineering projects that Stantec is currently engaged in across Canada.
Your Key Responsibilities Coordination of drawings and details. Assisting the Engineering Department with day-to-day tasks and projects Take part in design calculations and plans ensure matching to the guidelines, the code requirements, and other regulations. Action tracking and documentation control. General duties/requests/special projects as directed. Your Capabilities and Credentials Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in teams. Superior time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong interest in developing new skills and career advancement. Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project, Word, and Excel would be an asset. Education and Experience Presently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program. Preference is for student availability of an 8-month term minimum, with preference for longer terms.
