Engineering Coordinator

Puts those needs first. + Promotes patient rights, patient safety and ensures confidentiality and privacy at all times. + Recognizes, respects, and effectively communicates with all cultures. + Complied with all organization’s policies and procedures. **Promotes teamwork and partnerships** + Treats each employee as an equal and valued member of the team; works cooperatively with other employees to complete the work. + Willingly flexes to meet the changing workload demands and priorities. + Helps make Copley Hospital a great place to work by promoting positives and committing to resolve problems. + Upholds Copley Hospital Employee Behavior Standard in all interactions to improve teamwork and enhance patient satisfaction. + Adheres to the Code of Conduct of Copley Hospital in the performance of job duties and promotes the adherence of others as well. **Quality and Patient Safety** + Identifies potential opportunities and participates collaboratively to make improvements. **Team Relationships** Coached by: _Manager, Facilities Management_ **Position Performance Area/Expectations** **:** **Leadership** + Effectively leads engineering team members’ energy, time and supplies to achieve the greatest benefit at acceptable costs. + Efficiently implements and directs the preventive maintenance and repair program. + Develops and participates in continuing department training and education; ensures team members receive required training to maintain competency. + Evaluates, prioritizes, and schedules all work requests, material purchases, repairs, etc. providing feedback to users/customers. **Coordination of Contracted Services** + Selects, coordinates and evaluates the work performed by contracted services for the maintenance and repair of the buildings and equipment; maintains projected time frame and budget. + Schedules work activities in conjunction with user needs. **Finance Management** + Purchases and maintains stock levels of materials and replacement parts; stays within operating budget. + Provides projected materials, equipment, supply needs, and personnel for the annual operating budget. + Creates and maintains staff awareness of the budgetary process. **Record Keeping/Data Entry** + Maintains documentation of all maintenance, repairs and testing as required by applicable code and directives. **Resource Management** + Ensure buildings and equipment follow current codes and regulations. + Develops timelines to correct deficiencies; communicates /updates team members involved. **Team Support** + Works cohesively with the Construction Coordinator to ensure the best results related to project coordination. + Responds to requests for emergency service within an established time frame. + Provides technical support to other departments. + Adjusts staffing levels to meet the departmental needs and budget. + Interviews and selects new employees; coaches positions to ensure proper training and facilitates cross-training abilities. + Assists with snow removal efforts (i.e. emergency sidewalk clearance/salting) as requested. + Conducts fire drill surveillance and completes all required documentation. + Required to be On-Call (Rotation) for emergent needs. + Assists the Security Department if requested during Codes or similar events. + Completes other duties when assigned. **Patient Population this Position Services:** All, indirectl **Position Requirements** : + Must have 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in HVAC or Power Plant. + Stationary Engineer license from a recognized licensing agency (Elgin, Chicago, N.I.V.V.P.E.). + High School/GED diploma preferred. + Associate in Applied Science preferred. + Strong computer skills are required. + Strong knowledge of normal & emergency electrical systems and DDC control systems. + Motor coordination and finger dexterity and being able to lift heavy objects. + Ability to read, interpret and use blueprints. $32.58 - $48.86 Hourly RUSH salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects RUSH’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
