As an Engineering Design Manager, you will support the Beaumont Site design by managing and providing leadership for the Engineering Disciplines and Technical Expertise, which includes on-site personnel, BASF corporate resources, and third-party contractors. This department is responsible for addressing requests for technical support, facilitating early project development, and driving continuous improvement efforts for the production units and utilities at the Beaumont Site. The Engineering Design Manager is tasked with planning on-site resources and coordinating with BASF corporate and third-party groups to effectively support front-end engineering and detailed design for the Beaumont Site. **As a Engineering Design Manager - Beaumont, TX, You Create Chemistry By...** + Leading and managing a team of designers and engineers to develop scopes and engineering solutions for process improvements and new investments. + Implementing engineering design workflows and processes to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of design solutions. + Working closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, EHS, asset management, and projects, to define requirements, establish design goals, and ensure successful execution. + Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate design concepts and recommend optimal solutions. + Managing engineering resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure timely and successful project completion. + Fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and collaboration within the design team, encouraging new ideas and approaches. + Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements throughout the engineering. + Managing relationships and coordinating with external partners to ensure successful project outcomes. + Resolving action items associated with conceptual planning, detailed engineering, and construction. + Evaluating alternatives developed during conceptual planning. **If you...** + Hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field + Have 7+ years of proven experience as an Engineering Design Manager or in a related leadership role (e.g., large project management), with a track record of successful project development. + Demonstrate strong knowledge of engineering design principles, methodologies, and best practices. + Are experienced with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools, preferred. + Have strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results. + Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. + Have knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, ISA, API) and experience in chemical manufacturing is preferred. + Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful insights. + Ability to travel up to 10% - mostly day travel.
