Engineering Design & Processing Analyst
Description We are seeking a diligent Engineering Design & Processing Analyst to join our team located in Providence, Rhode Island. The role will focus on the management of capital and operational expense work through the engineering and design workflow process. This includes everything from the initial inception of a project to its ultimate closeout. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and support the Engineering permitting process • Monitor and report on the progress of capital work, with a key focus on gas system engineering and design responsibilities • Support the creation of preliminary work packages, including detailed descriptions of proposed work, customer data, and relevant templates • Ensure the timely and efficient management of capital and operational expense work through the engineering and design workflow process • Manage the issuance of work packages, modifications, and process closeouts • Conduct research, compile, coordinate, review, and verify data, conduct independent analysis, and identify inconsistencies • Support the tracking and monitoring of Engineering charges and costs and processing of P.O. and invoices • Provide reporting and analysis in support of the closeout process • Ensure successful project closure, including quality assurance • Support the integration of the work of a functional team/business unit. Requirements • Proficiency in Reporting, Invoice management, Research, and Review processes. • Strong skills in Database management, Design, Progress tracking, and Engineering. • Experience with Integration, Monitoring Tools, Capital Management, and Quality Assurance. • Ability to develop and adhere to Specifications, manage Expense Accounts, and work within Business Units. • Familiarity with Templates, Document Management, Sketches, and Financial Systems. • Knowledge of Closeout procedures, GIS, Software Applications, and System Engineering. • Experience in creating Design Drawings and using DocuWare. • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and in a team. • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other related software. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field. • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to make decisions based on detailed analysis. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills.
