Estimated annual base pay: $33.85 (minimum) - $42.31 (midpoint) - $50.77 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re an Engineering Dev Tech, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Engineering Development Technician Level 3 is responsible for performing routine functions using standard techniques to solve moderately complex technical problems. The role supports prototype development and testing of new and existing products and provides technical support to Development Engineering. It involves solving more complex technical problems and planning non-routine assignments with substantial variety and complexity, requiring low supervision. Work may be reviewed by senior technicians or engineering staff.
What You Will Be Doing
Assembles new and/or modified mechanical components
Identifies and corrects most malfunctions in Test Lab and/or test equipment
Sets up and performs testing on new, modified and production product designs under operational conditions per written and verbal instructions from the project/product engineer with minimal assistance or supervision
Participates in installation of equipment in test fixtures, connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source and instrumentation
What We Are Looking For
Associate's Degree required
3-5 years development technician experience with proficiency in mechanical or electrical systems required
Strong machining aptitude and extensive development lab experience
Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical, hydraulic and electronic schematics and suggest design changes
Ability to read and use a wide range of precision mechanical and electrical measurement devices
Ability to learn new and advanced instrumentation and data acquisition systems with minimal assistance. Good data collection and analysis skills
Ability to set up and troubleshoot moderately complex instrumentation, data acquisition systems and other Woodward product lines both internally and at the customer
Thorough working knowledge of the physical principles that govern mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Has a basic knowledge of electrical systems
