Reporting to the Regional VP Engineering, the regional Engineering Director – Capital Project Management will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the execution of major capital projects across the APACSA (Asia Pacific & South Africa) region. The role involves supporting Project Managers to adhere to company standards, providing hands-on project execution leadership for key initiatives and championing processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgets with a strong focus on Engineering Design, Technology, Construction, sustainability and environmental considerations and with a strong safety and food safety culture.
Accountabilities:
Successful execution of major projects within the region, meeting time, budget, and quality targetsEffective implementation of the latest engineering standards and innovationsPromotion and maintenance of a strong safety and food safety cultureEffective support for Project Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellenceAccurate and timely reporting of project performance and progress
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (advanced degree preferred)Minimum 15 years of experience in capital project management, (min.10 years in a leadership role)Proven track record of delivering large, complex capital projects in manufacturing or food processing environmentsStrong understanding of engineering standards, safety practices, and environmental regulationsDemonstrated expertise in project governance, risk management, and financial oversightAbility to mentor and develop high-performing teams across diverse locations.Willingness to travel extensively across the region to support project execution and site teamsExceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
