Prism is a base business function, leading E2E Cost of Goods sold improvements for the handheld Endo mechanical and Energy business. A major focus of our team is to develop new suppliers and processes in support of cost management.

The Engineering Fellow in the E2E COGS Management team is a key member of the Prism Leadership Team, having overall responsibility to drive complex process development and supplier development and onboarding in support of highly complex cost action projects. Specifically, this person will have a lead role in developing and deploying a new Asia Pacific supply base by completing several complex technical transfers while simultaneously onboarding new suppliers and a new cross-functional technical execution team.

The candidate will have strong project and program management skills, be skilled in DMAIC, be bilingual and be effective in navigating tradeoffs between functional groups to achieve overall greater outcomes for the E2E COG Management Team and the Asia Pacific Sourcing Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the team Director and responsible for being the technical lead for the new Asia Pacific Sourcing Strategy.Lead Process Development for the Asia Pacific Sourcing Program. De-risk goals and objectives to meet target cost improvements and timelines.This position is responsible for developing and deploying a new critical program in EME. This program increases our China based Direct Material sourcing in an effort to substantially increase our dual sourcing for business risk mitigation, expand our supply chain footprint in China to enable market access, onboard a brand new cross-functional technical team, and deliver ~$30MM in cost savings over the next 5 years.This role will not only enable conveyance of product and process knowledge from EME to the new suppliers and new team members but will also enable better communication between the Global team and the local China team and local suppliers. They will train both in our product requirements and manufacturing processes and also our Quality System, being a key leader in the new Supplier Partner Onboarding team.This role also has significant responsibilities in defining needed capabilities for both the Global and Local teams, and developing capability roadmaps for the new Local China Team, including cross-functional mentoring to enable rapid capability development.

Education: Minimum of an Advanced Technical and/or equivalent University Degree required; focused degree in Engineering is preferred.

Minimum of eight (12) years of relevant professional work experience Process Excellence Black Belt CertificationBi-lingual in English and MandarinInternational Supplier Development ExperienceInternal External Partner Development Experience
