Job DescriptionEngineering Finance and Accounting Analyst
What you'll do:
This individual serves as the Finance single point of contact for all Engineering, Research & Development (ER&D) spending for amortization of intangible assets. This individual works closely with Engineering and Product Finance staffs to manage and control all aspects of amortization on approved programs, including useful life and in service analysis. Includes ownership of reporting, and tracking of budgeted, actual, and forecast spending for approved programs. This role interacts very closely with the Engineering Operations teams as a direct business partner.
QualificationsKey Responsibilities:
Lead full analysis and accounting for N.A. ER&D (including NA China and NA India) Amortization (Statutory Financial Statement including Purchase Price Accounting) by vehicle and segment. Scope includes budget, forecast, multi-year plan, regional allocations, and actuals, including Blackline reconciliations, quarterly close support/accounting roll-forwards/Briefing Book support, along with quarterly audits (internal GCA and external E&Y).Lead SOX controls relating to Amortization, along with 2023 audit process enhancements. Scope includes annual Corporate accounting requirements relating to testing for impairment at the vehicle platform and account level.Create detailed process documentation for all aspects of role, and identify opportunities for improvement / workload reduction. Basic Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of core Finance or Accounting experience, with the ability to forecast, and report actuals through the monthly close processSuperior navigation and comprehensive knowledge of PentaSAPExcellent knowledge and experience in HFMAdvanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookup, etc.) and PowerPointExcellent communication skills; ability to interact with/present to executive management and present a point-of-view with factsStrong attention to detail, ability to question items, investigate/analyze independently, propose solutions to management, and manage multiple priorities/work-streamsPreferred Qualifications
MBA, CPA preferred.Excellent navigation and comprehensive knowledge of SAP software application.Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookup), Essbase and Accounting knowledge beneficial.Automotive industry knowledge a plus.Prior analyst experienceExperience in maintaining SOX complianceAdditional Information•Legal benefits
