Engineering Intern

We are looking for a Design Engineering Intern to join our Target Rock team in the Engineering Department.  

Location: East Farmingdale, NY.

Hourly pay: $20.00- $23.00 an hour

Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.


Your Challenge

Develop and apply design engineering skills alongside Design Engineers through the following methods:Design and develop fixtures, tooling, and production hardware as needed to support Target Rock's operations departments.Generate 3D models of parts and assemblies in CAD.Create technical 2D detail and assembly drawings with appropriate tolerancing methods.Work alongside Design Engineers to support design and development projects to achieve on-time completion of milestones.Assist in the maintenance and revisions of existing Target Rock products and drawings through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).I-deas to NX CAD file migration: Design Engineering is currently in the process of migrating files from an older CAD program that is no longer supported, to the current NX program. This is indirect labor - not billable to projects. Current full-time staff does not have capacity to perform this at the rate required to complete migration in a timely fashion.
