Position summary: JMT’s Washington, D.C. office is looking for an intern to support various civil engineering departments using their knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to execute various tasks and projects. For the duration of the internship, the intern will be given practical experience on civil infrastructure projects by rotating through the disciplines of water resources, traffic, roadway, construction management, and project management.

 

 

Essential functions and responsibilities

Make edits and updates to existing engineering drawings and projects Coordinate new small-scale projects Assemble data and research Provide input on solutions to problems using basic theories and engineering fundamentals Assist with layout and design of routine small and medium-sized engineering projects Develop and prepare specifications Maintain accurate and current project documentation
