Project Description

Work with the Engineering staff to support smart meter projects and smart home technology.

Work as an entry level engineering analyst doing tasks that support the tools, programs, and testing used to perform various operational tasks such as customer issue investigation, system administration, automated testing, and assist with lab operations.

Through practical operations experience and mentoring, a successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills.  

This will be a summer opportunity (start date of May 2025) with the potential to extend into a school year. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer.  If the intern works during the school year, their hours should be part-time. 

Minimum Requirements

Enrolled in programs focused on Science, Technology, or Mathematics, such as computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, data science, drafting, gas design, electric design, project management, construction management, chemistry, biology, environmental studies, natural sciences, and similar. 

May require monthly site visits to customer homes in Minnesota, Sporadic team travel for summits or conferences.

Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.

Familiar with consumer smart home systems.

Troubleshooting, communication, and independent work ethic.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $20.70 to $24.00 per hour

This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
