Role Summary Internship Term: Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027. Note that if your university has specific requirements for internship programs, it is your responsibility to fulfill those requirements. This position will involve design, analysis, and hands-on testing of components, subsystems, and vehicles for overall electromagnetic compatibility. You will help validate new Rivian designs and directly contribute to the next generation electrical architecture. Responsibilities Understand and identify electromagnetic interactions from circuit level up to system level Perform relevant analyses via hand calculations, SPICE, and/or 3D EM solvers Validate all your analyses by rooting design and approaches with test data Write and execute test plans to de-risk board designs beyond the scope of standardized tests Take ownership of projects to see them through from initial architecture to vehicle validation Qualifications Must be currently pursuing a Masters or PhD degree at an accredited university Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in Electrical Engineering Strong understanding of Electromagnetic Theory (Antennas, RF, EMI/EMC) Analog Circuit Design coursework/experience Experience with scopes, spectrum analyzers, amplifiers, injection/monitor current probes, antennas, and other RF equipment Circuit simulation experience with LTSpice (ANSYS/CST Experience preferred) Collaborate with engineers across multiple domains #LI-SA5 Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law. Rivian provides robust wellness benefits, and a medical insurance package for interns, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
