Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives using established plans and specifications. + 40 hours per week + Must have access to local housing on or near Cape Cod + Compensation based on college level, start and stop dates flexible + Interns will be assigned, but not limited, to a department without Teledyne Marine Systems based on their background. Departments include: Benthos – Accoustic Modems Webb Research – Gliders and Floats TapTone – Package Inspection Technology, including machine vision manufacturing – All Product Lines. + Projects will be determined by the manager depending on skill level and duration of employment. Most projects will include working closely with Teledyne engineers to support both existing products as well as new product development. Interns will also be exposed to Teledyne’s Knowledge based Product Development process. You will learn about how we are focusing on early testing, how to eliminate knowledge gaps before we stipulate specifications and start the formal design process. **Education/Experience** + Actively pursuing BS or MS in Mechanical, Software or Electrical Engineering degree or Computer Scient from an accredited university. Junior standing or higher. + Preference for GPA 3.0 and above. + Strong computer skills including MS Office applications and discipline related tools such as Altium, SolidWorks or other AutoCAD program preferred. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to perform assigned tasks and complete work on schedule with minimal supervision. + Experience by related discipline, with mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, working knowledge of C/C++, embedded systems space, Python on Windows and/or Linux preferred. + Due to type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a “US Person” (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent resident, asylees or refugees).
