Welcome to the role of Engineering Intern (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural). In this position, you will assist with the efficient and innovative design of custom manufacturing machines, automated vision systems, and other industrial equipment. This will include contributing to current projects from concept to installation.  The assigned work will be based on an area of study, i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural.

 

The Engineering Intern should expect to acquire hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and an understanding of how technology is integrated into industry. The Engineering Intern will work primarily out of the Grantsville, MD location, the shop, and/or customer site.

What You'll Do Assisting with evaluating and developing principles of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and structural/ civil systems.Assists with project design, procurement, build, testing, evaluation, and documentation.Assist with assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in shop and field settingsPrepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsProvides engineering information by answering questions and requests.Decision-making based on industry best practices, standards, and applicable codes.Work in a collaborative team environment.
