$17.47 - $28.24 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Summary

Learn from the best as you assist our Engineering Group in all phases of projects helping to ensure cost, schedule and performance objectives are successfully met.

Perform CAD (Solidworks-3D/AutoCad-2D) operations to check equipment layout and prepare as built drawings for installed equipmentCollect and verify field dimensions and other dataTrack all purchase requisitions, and drawing packages from design through installation.Assure installations adhere to approved drawingsParticipate in Core Problem Solving of equipment/process related issues; assist Plant Maintenance with troubleshooting and solution implementationAssist in planning and coordinating project installations, including coordinating and overseeing vendors and mechanical/electrical contractorsProvide weekly updates to management on project status and schedule progress/completionPerform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Current enrollment in, and full completion of at least 2 full years of a BS degree program in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering schoolAcademic eligibility to attend classes in the fallPortfolio of CAD (2D and 3D) work you have completedPass a CAD proficiency test during the interviewAbility to organize and prioritize multiple project activitiesHigh level of initiative, assertiveness and self-directionStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to excel in a project team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with continuous improvement philosophies such as Lean or Six SigmaPrior technical work experienceKnowledge of shop practices (machine & fabrication)Solidworks CSWA certificationMinimum GPA 2.75
