Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to be based in Chelmsford, MA.
This position is expected to begin in May 2025.
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Assist in water/wastewater treatment evaluation and design, including pump station assessment and design.Contribute to water distribution and sewer collection system analysis, modeling, and design.Support stormwater modeling, analysis, and design projects.Prepare design drawings, plans, and details using Autodesk Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD MEP.Develop engineering-related calculations and visual aids for various water resource projects.Apply standard techniques and procedures to carry out engineering tasks under supervision.Collaborate with project managers and senior team members to further develop professional judgment and understanding of ethical responsibilities.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering and must have completed at least 3 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.Preferred Qualifications:
GPA of 3.0 or higher.Emphasis in water resources, water or wastewater treatment, conveyance/pipelines, or related field.Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering concepts.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD.Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.Additional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this position.Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Chelmsford, MA.
