Job Description To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained environment at The Omni Homested resort. Responsibilities This position requires strong knowledge of: + Maintain all mechanical items in guest rooms and public areas. + Receive direction for house calls via radio. + Assists engineers and mechanics with repairs. + Clean all work areas once job is complete. + Works with Maintenance technician 1 and 2 to repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to correct the problem. + Uses a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment. + Works with each department to assure emergency and safety work orders are handled promptly. + Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies. + Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations. + And any other reasonable task asked of them by management Tools and Equipment: + Telephone + Radios + Maintenance hand, power & shop tools Working Environment: + Interior & all areas of the resort. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures. + Exterior of resort with exposure to weather conditions. + Exposure to various hazardous chemical Qualifications + Previous building maintenance experience required. Hotel experience preferred. + Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance. + Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift. + Required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property. + Frequent bending and/or kneeling required. + Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail. + Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts.
