Job Description

To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained environment at The Omni Homested resort.

Responsibilities

This position requires strong knowledge of:

Maintain all mechanical items in guest rooms and public areas.Receive direction for house calls via radio.Assists engineers and mechanics with repairs.Clean all work areas once job is complete.Works with Maintenance technician 1 and 2 to repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to correct the problem.Uses a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.Works with each department to assure emergency and safety work orders are handled promptly.Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.And any other reasonable task asked of them by management

 Working Environment:

Interior & all areas of the resort. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.Exterior of resort with exposure to weather conditions.Exposure to various hazardous chemical Qualifications Previous building maintenance experience required. Hotel experience preferred.Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance. Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift. Required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property. Frequent bending and/or kneeling required. Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts. Schedule will vary according to business and operational needs.
