Job Title: Engineering Lab TechnicianJob Description Perform various mechanical testing on automotive parts and products. Responsibilities + Conduct mechanical testing on automotive parts and products. + Perform dimensional inspections using various tools and equipment. + Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and laser scanners for measurements. + Apply metrology techniques to ensure accuracy in measurements. + Calibrate and maintain testing equipment. Essential Skills + Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a similar field of study/technical school. + Proficiency in metrology and dimensional inspection. + Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). + Ability to use a laser scanner. + At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Mechanical testing and calibration skills. + Experience in a drafting/designing position with a desire to transition to a hands-on role. Work Environment Primarily lab environment with some computer work. Monday through Friday, 1st shift, with flexible start times between 6:00-8:30 AM. Option to work 4 ten-hour days for the right candidate.
