We’re looking for a highly motivated Engineering Lead to join our team and help us achieve our goal of outstanding service delivery.

 

About the role  

As an Engineering Lead, you will be instrumental in executing the real-time production plan, working in collaboration with our operational teams. In this role, you will manage a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Planners to optimise automation reliability, availability, and performance across our network of automated processing sites.

You’ll also have the opportunity to drive continuous improvement across all levels, facilitate knowledge transfer from third-party vendors, and work closely with a variety of teams to ensure operational excellence.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

Work as part of a team with operations and other service groups to achieve high levels of reliability, performance and cost effectiveness Leading automation optimisation and continuous improvement efforts.Fostering a culture of continuous learning and providing mentorship to enhance technical capabilities across all levels.Providing 24/7 specialist support for urgent fault resolution, including root cause analysis and defect elimination.Managing and resolving highly complex activities related to parcel processing equipment.Developing, reviewing, and recommending maintenance policies and procedures.Leading defect investigations, ensuring corrective actions are taken.Ensuring the application of configuration management processes for plant and equipment modifications.

 

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong leadership abilities, mentoring and coaching teams to achieve high performance.Proven experience collaborating with operational teams to meet KPIs and operational standards.Expertise in undertaking specialised maintenance support, including the application of maintenance principles in an operational setting.A solid background in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, root cause analysis, and problem-solving.Experience applying project management principles to oversee complex, multi-functional activities.

 

In addition, we require:

Engineering/Trade qualifications and relevant experience.Familiarity with SAP plant maintenance and materials management.

 

Highly desirable:

A Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or progress towards completion).A Diploma or Degree in Business (Frontline Management).

Internal: You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the operations teams, subject matter experts, and the broader technical team.External: You will also maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors and suppliers.

 

Decision-Making Authority

You will be a confident decision-maker, responsible for ensuring that your team has the information and skills necessary to achieve our objectives.
