As an Engineering Manager in the Revenue Platform Automation division, you’ll lead the engineering efforts driving our Sales, Customer Success (CS), and Finance technology stack. You’ll ensure seamless integration and optimal performance across these platforms, with a strong focus on backend and data-driven solutions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our systems are robust, integrated, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend technical expertise with leadership skills, driving impactful change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

You will build and lead a team of talented engineers responsible for developing and maintaining automation solutions for our Sales, CS, and Finance technologies. You’ll train and mentor team members, identify and resolve impediments, oversee the integrity of software estimations, and ensure that code and tests meet high standards while keeping scalability, reliability, and maintainability in mind.

This is a backend-focused role, leveraging your strong background in Java, Python, workflow automation solutions (Workato), web services (REST/OpenAPI), messaging frameworks (Kafka), data platforms (Snowflake), cloud technologies (AWS/GCP), and containerization (Kubernetes/Docker) to build innovative solutions. You’ll use your strong knowledge of Sales, CS, and Finance business domains and tools to build complete solutions in sales automation (Salesforce), finance automation (ERP/billing/CPQ/payment), and Customer insights (Catalyst/Gainsight).  You’ll ensure your team master's their discrete business domains, maintaining ownership, and accountability for their deliverables. You oversee the development of strong test automation suites, aligning with automated build & CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native delivery.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

\n\nTeam Leadership & Development: Lead and inspire a team of skilled engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability. Provide guidance and support to ensure team growth and success, empowering them with autonomy and ownership \nEngineering Excellence: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automation solutions for our revenue platforms. Ensure the highest quality code with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Your backend expertise allows you to dive into the codebase when needed, ensuring alignment with best practices \nPlatform Optimization & Integration: Ensure that our Sales, CS, and Finance systems, particularly those centered around Salesforce and its ecosystem, are robust, optimized, and seamlessly integrated. Lead efforts to enhance system performance, drive innovation, and implement scalable solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives \nTechnical Leadership: Leverage your strong background in Java, Python, data platforms, workflow automation, software architecture, messaging frameworks, and cloud technologies to drive the technical direction of our revenue platforms. Ensure the adoption of best practices in automation, web services, test automation, and cloud-native delivery \nCross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, Sales, CS, and Finance teams to align engineering efforts with business goals. Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies to drive impactful change \nSystem Integrity & Performance: Oversee the integrity of software estimations and ensure high standards of performance, reliability, and security in the systems developed by your team. Vigilantly identify and resolve impediments, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope \nInnovation & Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation within the revenue technology stack. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, tools, and systems, ensuring our technology remains at the cutting edge \nTalent Acquisition & Retention: Play a key role in hiring, training, and retaining top engineering talent. Skills and Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field \n8+ years' experience in Software Engineering with deep experience in software integration and workflow automation, particularly in Sales, CS, and Finance technology stacks \n3+ years in an Engineering leadership role with direct management responsibilities of at least 3 people \n3+ years hands-on coding and delivering services that are provided “as a service” to other teams as part of a large-scale distributed microservices architecture \nStrong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring engineering teams \nExpert-level skills in Java, Python, and SQL \nDeep understanding of sales automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and related technologies, including ERP tools, payment automation, billing automation, and CPQ \nExperience with containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker, and an understanding of how to build cloud-scale delivery, including scalability, resiliency, and recoverability \nSolid understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and DevOps principles \nExcellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and scalability \nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization \nExperience in the financial industry or B2B platforms is a plus\nProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily \n\n

Compensation

\n\nAnnual base salary: $210,000-$250,000\nTarget annual bonus percentage: 15%\n\n

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

\n

Working Conditions:

\n

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
