You will work within a multi-functional team of engineers, designers, product managers, and quality engineers in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesHire and retain top Software Engineering TalentLead by example, set goals for your team, and establish credibility with the quality of your service.Cultivate an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisorCollaborate with product owners and designers to iterate on the design and implementation of our web applicationEnsure stability and performance of both backend services as well as client-side offerings that your team builds and ownsIdentify and drive resolution of roadblocks and issues that impact the success of your teamProvide leadership for an impactful Software Engineering Team including:Performance appraisal and feedbackEstablish and track critical metrics to meet SLACoaching and mentoringCareer growth guidance/assistanceFacilitation of knowledge and expertise sharing among team membersQualificationsMust Have:B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field combined with at least 10 years of software development experience6+ years of direct management experience of highly technical engineersExperience developing and delivering scalable, full-stack multi-tenant SaaS productsPassionate about design and user experiencePassionate about good engineering practices, new technologies, and improving processes, and a consistent record of mentoring and coaching team membersDemonstrated prior success in leading software engineering organizations of 10 or more peopleStrong understanding of modern software development practices including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CDExceptional written and verbal communication skillsNice to have skills:Scrum master experience and/or recent CSM, PMI-ACP, CSP-SM, or equivalent certification.Have experience leading distributed teams on multiple concurrent projects.Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, ReactJS and/or Angular.Extensive knowledge and production programming experience in at least one of Java/C++/PythonExperience in backend web/API frameworks and/or distributed systems.We value inclusion and diversity at our company. Base Pay Range
India
Base Pay: INR 3,200,000.00 - 4,400,000.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
