About the Role: 

As an engineering manager, you will be responsible to lead, mentor and expand the development team in Bangalore. You will also be primarily responsible for shaping up the features and technical execution of the product roadmap of your team working on high impact business problems. You will also help improve the engineering processes, develop and enforce best practices to enable the team to build scalable, robust & reliable solutions with high productivity

You will also need to work closely with the product managers to prioritize both engineering and product roadmap to ensure the team is always focused on working on the most impactful projects.

What You’ll Do: 

Recruit great engineers partnering with the recruiting team. Through mentoring and reviewing, help the engineers make sound architectural decisions, improve their code quality, and get out of their comfort zone to achieve a high level of technical productivity and advance in their careers Understand and anticipate the needs of our customers. Drive Engineering strategy and vision for the product working closely with customers and product managers. Communicate, collaborate and work effectively across cross functional teams to prioritize the company needs and drive company-wide, large-scale projects Lead the technical decision-making process and provide guidance. Earn the technical respect of the people on your team through demonstrating strong technical skills

What We’re Looking For: 

8+ years of overall experience with a proven track record as a technical leader and 2+ years of engineering management experience leading a full stack team of strong backend, and web/frontend or mobile engineers Successfully recruited great engineers in your team and helped them grow in their careers Good product sense and a deep understanding of the broader product vision and ability to plan & design various features in stages to provide value to the customers Strong technical understanding with hands-on experience in building scalable, fault-tolerant, and robust products and platforms. Extensive knowledge of end to end product development cycles – right from the inception to production and scaling up.  The ability to be clear and persuasive in writing and in person. The ability to lead by example, by setting the right context, and by helping teammates do their best work.
