The opportunity: the role involves managing the Engineering function across two sites, ensuring business objectives are met. Responsibilities include leading a team of engineers, overseeing Environmental, Health, and Safety systems compliance (ISO 14001:2015 EMS, ISO 45001:2018 SMS), and managing engineering costs and site contracts. The role also involves planned maintenance using a computerized system, data reporting, and driving continuous improvement. Manage all aspects of Engineering costs, including spare part inventoryLead all relevant site contracts and associated contract workers working on siteTo drive continuous improvement and best practice initiatives in the key elements of manufacturing performanceTo take overall responsibility for the Engineering function including analysis of trends in faults and breakdowns, purchase orders and paperwork, ensuring accessible stock of relevant spare parts, etcTo lead improvements to enhance systems in place to meet customer specifications whilst maximising our productionTo contribute ideas and participate in ongoing business improvement initiatives to reduce overall operating costs, improve margin and provide input into the strategy and operations of the sitesTo provide technical development / project coordination support for the production function through research and application of best practice technical developmentsWhat you need to succeed:
