Job Description
The Engineering and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the design, coordination, planning, and implementation of programs related to Engineering and Maintenance. This includes the design and installation of equipment and processes, preventive and proactive maintenance, and the operation of plant equipment and tools. The role requires managing a team of engineers and maintenance staff, ensuring efficient operation and continuous improvement of plant stationary equipment and manufacturing processes.
ResponsibilitiesManage a team of engineers and maintenance staff.Review and discuss plant processes, equipment issues, and improvement or modification measures with Plant Manager and other operations managers.Develop and maintain a robust continuous improvement program for the efficient operation of plant stationary equipment and manufacturing.Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to provide a continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and maximize the utilization of labor and materials.Direct training and indoctrination, performance evaluations, and corrective measures to improve employee work performance and familiarize workers with company policies and procedures.Confer with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.Identify areas of improvement and draft departmental objectives to enhance safety and operational efficiency, and set targets for cost reduction.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial).5+ years of experience in metal fabrication.2+ years of experience managing a team of engineers.Experience working with industrial machinery, production, manufacturing engineering, operations management, design, troubleshooting, electrical systems, burners, tubing, hydraulics, pneumatics, project management, quality assurance, operation, combustion, water treatment, cooling towers, baghouses, pump houses, and motors.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in in-house equipment design.Creating machine documentation and schematics of outdated equipment.Baghouse regulation experience.Work Environment
This position is in an outdoor aluminum manufacturing company with large industrial equipment, furnaces, and boilers.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00
