Engineering Manager **Location:** Duluth, GA, United States, 30096 **Company:** Chart Industries **_Ensuring Chart’s Success…_** Chart Water is seeking an individual with advanced knowledge of water treatment process chemistry and ultra-pure water (UPW) processes which include, but are not limited to, multi-media filtration (MMF), ultra-filtration (UF), ion exchange (IX), reverse osmosis (RO), electro deionization (EDI) and demineralization. We are looking for an individual to make full use of their engineering abilities and leadership skills to make a lasting impact to our company. **_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…_** Lead a team of mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and CAD designers Provide mechanical and electrical solutions in the development of processes and products for water and wastewater treatment; project content ranges from single systems to large scale plant designs. Work closely with Project Management, Commercial and Operations management teams to formulate and execute strategies to meet customer needs in a timely fashion Improve and automate processes while maintaining the quality of the team’s output Delegate effectively and make decisions quickly, while assessing and managing risk Interview, hire, onboard, and train new employees Perform necessary administrative duties (scheduling, approvals, etc.) Attend and support trade shows and key customer meetings Provide support and engineering documentation for technical inquiries from customers Provide technical leadership to your team, ensuring technical issues are addressed in a timely manner Meet regularly with each team member to build relationships, address concerns, and provide valuable coaching and feedback for team member growth Determine the need for training and talent development in such areas as: engineering fundamentals, time management, and communication skills Assure best practices in engineering design are followed for all products to ensure safety, meet customer needs, and provide the desired service life Verify all products conform to the relevant industry codes and/or regulations Adhere to and maintain engineering procedures, forms, and work instructions in an ISO-certified facility **_Your Education Should Be…_** Required: 5+ years relevant engineering experience, containing at least 1-2 years engineering management experience Preferred: 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years management experience **_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…_** Office environment and production factory support Some work-related travel may be required (approximately 15% or less) 1. Frequent standing, sitting, and walking 2. Frequent computer work 3. Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional heavier lifting Work Hazards: 1. Production floor environment will involve possible exposure to materials with rough edges, temperature extremes, moving mechanical parts, occasional flying debris, chemical cleaning solvents and their odors. 1.
