JOB SUMMARY: The Engineering Manager will train, coach, and supervise employees working in the engineering department and ensure all engineering-related tasks are completed on time and within budget. This position will be responsible for managing project schedules, team workload,monitoringand coaching performance, and ensuring everything complies with safety, quality, and delivery standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: + Manage a team of engineers to ensure the timely and high-quality production of work is completed and conduct performance evaluations while managing disciplinary actions when necessary. + Collaborate and communicate with other departments and engineers to ensure compliance with industry and safety regulations, while overseeing that the projects meet customers' needs. + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes when designing and installing mechanical or electrical systems. + Test and evaluate mechanical or electrical equipment to determine that it meets industry standards and performance requirements. + Conduct research to identify the latest trends, technologies, and techniques that could improve mechanical or electrical systems or equipment. + Prepare technical drawings and specifications of mechanical or electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. + Provide technical support to ensure proper installation and maintenance of mechanical or electrical systems. + Foster a collaborative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning. + Investigate and troubleshoot customer concerns efficiently and professionally. + Provide and document technical information to engineers, project managers, and management to provide updates and/or influence decisions on technical issues. + Ability to weigh the short- and long-term implications of alternate engineering solutions when making decisions + Work with clients and participate with project managers and engineers in the development of plans. + Collaboratively work with staff to identify issues, develop possible solutions, prepare accurate documentation, and facilitate resolution of issues identified during the manufacturing process REQUIREMENTS: + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. + 10+ years of Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering experience required. + Previous experience in an engineering leadership role in a manufacturing industry. + Proficient knowledge in computer-aided design (CAD) software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred), engineering analysis software (CFD & FEA), programming languages, or other tools. + Knowledge of the manufacturing industry, welding, metal forming, and electrical manufacturing processes. + Knowledge of safety and code regulations and requirements for building systems, electrical systems, and equipment. + Familiar with the industry’s best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in the engineering field. + Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace. + Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record. + Professional Engineering license and applicable certifications preferred.
