Job Description
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our client's growing Professional Design Services team in Conyers, GA. This role involves working with local and federal government, industrial, and corporate clients. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and passionate work environment, delivering comprehensive design consulting services. The ideal candidate should have 10-20 years of MEP design experience and be prepared to manage an established department with a substantial workload for the next 2-3 years.
ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the Mechanical Engineering Department.Lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality design consulting services.Ensure timely completion of Federal Facility Design, Military Installation Design, and other large-scale projects.Assist in the design process as needed, especially in heavy production design scenarios.Familiarize with and apply Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) in project designs.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive design solutions.Maintain a healthy backlog of projects, ensuring workload management and team rebuilding.Essential Skills10-20 years of experience in Revit design.Proven experience in managing teams or departments.Experience with Federal Projects or transferable experience in Industrial, Large Scale Manufacturing Facility Design, Critical Infrastructure, Data Centers, etc.Comfortable with heavy production design and able to assist in design tasks as needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) is preferred.Experience in designing and renovating military bases, defense installations, and specialized facilities.Ability to work on projects ranging from barracks to command centers with a focus on security, operational efficiency, and sustainability.Work Environment
This role offers significant flexibility with remote and hybrid work options. Initial training will require presence in the office for 90 days, after which up to 80% remote work is possible. Occasional site visits and project kick-offs will require in-office presence. The company has a newly renovated office and has seen substantial growth, offering a variety of projects to enhance your portfolio. You can work from various locations including Conyers or Savannah, GA, Richmond, VA, Raleigh, NC, Charleston & Greenville, SC, or Orlando, FL. The typical design phase for federal design projects is 6-9 months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.00/hr.
