Engineering Manager II, Mobility Matching
**About the Role** Uber is looking for an Engineering Manager to support our Mobility Matching team. As the eng lead, you will have ownership of  all aspects of growing the team and relevant products. You will manage a high performing team that plays a crucial role in developing and optimizing algorithms and systems that match supply (drivers) with demand (riders) in real-time. The team works on complex problems, leveraging data and build systems/platform/algorithms to ensure efficient and reliable marketplace matching. Your contributions will directly impact the experience of millions of users worldwide. By significantly contributing and crafting the vision, you will help accelerate and scale the matching systems as Uber continues to invest and grow in different markets. We are broadly part of the Marketplace (PIMS) org, a central pillar to Uber’s core technology which includes pricing, incentives/investments, matching, surge, etc. for both mobility and delivery. As the key brain of the company, we are the decision makers that make moving from point A to point B possible for every trip or order that Uber serves, from UberX to Eats to new verticals such as grocery. Within the org, we’re part of Matching and Driver Pricing teams – which are critical to the company's success as it manages the complex dynamics of supply and demand, optimizes matching algorithms, and continuously innovates to enhance the overall user experience for both riders and drivers. Improvements in these systems increase revenue in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and decrease wasted time of drivers and users. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$218,000 per year - USD$242,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
