Job Location: Addison, TX (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
• Architectural Design: Develop and maintain the architecture for Java Spring Boot applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and meet business requirements.
• Cloud Integration: Design and implement cloud-based solutions using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. This includes setting up cloud infrastructure, managing services, and ensuring seamless integration with on-premises systems.
• Microservices Development: Lead the development of microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Ensure that services are loosely coupled, highly cohesive, and can be independently deployed and scaled.
• Security: Implement robust security measures, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of applications.
• This includes tuning the application, database, and cloud resources to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers, to ensure successful delivery of projects.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Use tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline
• Mentorship and Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the architecture, design decisions, and operational procedures.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Provide support during production incidents and ensure minimal downtime.
Salary:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
