In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the direction of technical initiatives crucial for New Product Introduction (NPI), encompassing product development and ongoing production enhancements. Your primary responsibilities will entail overseeing a team of accomplished engineers, ensuring seamless coordination, and driving excellence across all engineering endeavors. Embark on a rewarding journey with us, where your expertise and leadership will drive impactful contributions to our cutting-edge projects. **What You Will Do:** + Lead and prioritize all global engineering initiatives within the Structures and Worktools Team, spanning NPI, NTI, quality enhancements, assembly line issues, and commercial requests, while effectively allocating resources to drive success. + Guide and mentor team members with technical expertise to ensure the seamless delivery of NPI projects, meeting stringent functional and program requirements within stipulated timelines, budget, cost and quality standards. + Oversee and champion Continuous Product and process Improvement (CPI) projects within the Structures and Work tools Team, providing strategic direction to swiftly resolve challenges and enhance product performance. + Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams across various facilities to foster a unified approach to design and processes, driving consistency and efficiency. + Oversee requirements gathering by collaborating with process partners. Voice of Customer (VOC) engagement with application marketing and service teams and Voice of Regulator (VOR) to ensure products are meeting industry standards. + Provide proactive supervision and guidance to US team of engineers, offering support in daily tasks management, performance evaluations, and facilitating their professional growth and development. + Accountable for creating and maintaining Annual Business Plan (ABP)/ budget for the team. + Actively support the recruitment, training, and development of summer interns and Engineering Rotation & Development Program (ERDP) candidates, fostering a nurturing environment for future talent within the organization. **What You Have (Basic Qualifications):** + B.S. degree in engineering + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical concepts, providing leadership guidance, and facilitate collaboration among team members and stakeholders. + Demonstrated technical excellence in engineering focused on heavy fabrication, with a strong understanding of product development processes, NPI, methodologies, and quality improvement techniques. + Demonstrated proficiency in effectively managing and leading engineering teams, offering direction, mentorship, and support to foster a high-performance work environment, drive professional growth and development, and oversee successful project execution, either through direct management or indirect leadership roles. + Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and project execution, displaying adeptness in balancing competing priorities, optimizing resource allocation, and delivering results within challenging timelines while upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence. + Experience working across global teams to foster collaboration, skill development and alignment towards common objectives.
