Job Title 

Engineering Project Manager

Role Overview: 

The Engineering Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to define, plan, execute and deliver to project commitments supporting company market growth and financial objectives. This role will involve opportunities to work with many value streams across the organization and use and grow your project management and leadership skills. You will report to the Director of Program Management Office (PMO) and be a part of a team focused on success and continuous growth and improvement in all PM competencies.

On a typical day you will: 

Collaborate with Product Management in the development of sound business casesUnderstand and internalize business benefits in both cost reduction and market-share increaseLead teams in the development of clear project and product requirementsEstablish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and facilitate target settingSecure functional managers to develop schedule and secure resourcesEstimate financial needs and develop budgetLead effective team meetings and monitor project performanceManage and creatively work the project critical path with a focus on paceIdentify and mitigate project schedule, technical and cost risksPrepare for and deliver milestone reviews to senior leadership

What You Will Need to be Successful: 

Bachelor's Degree in engineering (preferred) with at least 5 years’ experience required. Relevant industry experience strongly preferred.
BA/BS degree with 5 to 10+ years’ experience
MA/MS degree with 3 to 5+ years’ experience 

5+ years of experience including: Schedule management, Risk management, Budget management, Cross-functional teams within a formal phase-gate process, Negotiation, Meeting facilitationProject Management Professional (PMP) certified a plusUnderstand and routinely apply all elements of the Project Management Process Groups and Knowledge Areas as defined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge.Strong communication and leadership skills and team leadership experienceExperience working with suppliers/3rd partiesSound engineering understanding/backgroundElevator systems knowledge a plusMS Office applications including MS Project
