Engineering Project Manager - Aviation
Overview:
The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the design, planning, and execution of aviation and airfield projects. This role involves overseeing the preparation of technical documents, coordinating with key stakeholders such as the FAA and project sponsors, and ensuring projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and experience with FAA regulations.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license required; California PE preferred. 10+ years of proven experience in project management for aviation and airfield design projects. Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and federal aviation regulations is a plus. Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to read, interpret, and apply scientific, technical, and financial documents. Ability to effectively respond to sensitive client inquiries and manage relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders. Ability to sit for extended periods. Occasionally required to reach, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds. This position requires occasional travel for site visits and client meetings. #M1
