Teradyne's Defense and Aerospace Division is the leading provider of high-performance test systems, subsystems, instruments and service for the defense and aerospace markets. Our test products are used to ensure the readiness of military and commercial aerospace electronics systems. New programs, such as tactical aircraft and missile systems, as well as upgrade programs, continue to fuel the demand for high performance test systems in this market.

Responsibilities

Seeking a TPS Engineering Project Manager in our Defense & Aerospace business unit.  In this role you will be responsible for the successful management of cost, schedule and scope management of multiple Total Solutions projects for major programs. The successful candidate must be able to manage change, escalate issues, and take an active role in getting decisions made in a timely manner.

Ability to lead a cross-functional team of Hardware, Software and Mechanical Engineers and assign tasks Facilitating the creation of project schedules Monitor and close programs/projects to achieve program objectives  Use industry standard techniques and tools to measure progress against product and program objectives Drive proactive corrective action where required Manage scope change control activities and communicate periodic project assessment to sponsors Manage 3rd party supplier base to facilitate successful supply chain interaction Basic Qualifications & Skills 4 or more years of Technical Project Management experience Association with PMI and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred Excellent organizational and communication skills including ability to communicate and foster communication between project team members Experience managing team elements in multiple geographic locations

 

Education A Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience (4 years).  A BSM or MBA desirable.
