Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.
We are currently seeking a Specialist, Engineering located in Mineral Wells/Williamstown, WV reporting directly to the AM, Production Services - Engineering. This individual will lead special projects to develop new production processes for major plant improvement initiatives and is also responsible for supporting the plant’s technology-based tools enhancement program. This position supports all production and maintenance activities with a key role of the position focusing on new process and equipment development, as well as maintaining the plant’s existing equipment. This position also strives to improve and enhance the plant’s safety and quality performance when evaluating and implementing new tools and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads project teams to develop new production processes and equipment for major plant improvement initiativesOversees major equipment installation projectsSupports technology-based tools implementationHelps production and maintenance in areas of engineering, equipment, and process developmentDirect and delegate suitable projects to co-op and internship candidates and provide appropriate support and feedbackMentor new engineersImproves processes by examining departmental work processesResearch engineering changes and communicate directly with production for timely implementation.Participates in all meetings essential to communicating issues and improvements to managementEducation and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of three years of experience in an engineering role in a manufacturing environment, automotive experience is preferred.Required Skills:
