In operation since 2007, Safford operations is a zero-discharge facility and one of the most sustainable mines in the United States. The operation’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices strongly emphasizes safety and environmental stewardship. Located in southeastern Arizona, close to more than 4 million acres of national forest, employees and their families can connect with the great outdoors while fishing, rafting, hiking and more. Description Under general supervision, provides technical advice and guidance for all phases of assigned Engineering projects and programs, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost. Reviews, investigates and develops appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projectsServes as Project Manager or Technical Advisor, on small-to-medium site construction, expansion or modification projectsEvaluates and administers contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipmentCollaborates in site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areasAssists in the development and evaluation of Appropriation Request (AR) for capital fundingPerforms other duties as requiredQualifications

Minimum Qualifications

 

High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of Engineering experience, ORBachelor's degree in a Scientific discipline and three (3) years of Engineering experienceAble to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusionsAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Vibration experience or certificationFamiliar with RBMWare (AMS-CSI) SoftwareExperience in utilizing and maintaining Emerson/CSI online vibration monitoring systemExperience with RCFACertification with ITC in ThermographyExperience with Baker motor testing equipment (static and/or dynamic)Experience with FLIR cameras and softwarePrior Ultrasonic Testing (UT) experienceExperience with Ultrasonic data collection utilizing current technology (Olympus)Certification in Phased Array, Conventional UT, or other NDT technologiesExperience with NDT technologies (Magnetic-Particle, Dye Penetrant, etc.)Certification and or experience with Eddy Current or Eddy Current Array

What We Offer You  

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $87,000-$121,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.    What We Require
