We are seeking Engineering Students for our Calgary district, within our Canadian Buildings Division, that are available for 4, 8, 12 or 16 months starting in May 2025.
As an Engineering Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination
Coordinating drawings
Coordinating work specific scope / trades
Conducting trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates
Participating in project meetings
Conducting deficiency walks
Inputting / Updating deficiency logs
Issuing warranties
Taking / Coordinating progress photos
Updating field drawings
Producing as-built drawings
Field Coordination
Performing quantity takeoffs
Coordinating sub-trade work
Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
Supervising sub-trade work
Setting-up / Maintaining record keeping
Layout site lines and grades using total station
Coordinating onsite logistics of material and equipment
In-field production tracking
Implementation and daily tracking of a Quality Management plan
Scheduling:
Updating project schedules
Creating manual schedules
Obtain scheduling information from sub-trades
Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD
Monitoring workforce productivity
QualificationsValid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle may be required.
Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
