Engineering Supervisor

Designing custom Power Distribution Centers and switchgears, our Engineering Team meets the needs of our customers and industry. Collaborating as a team, the Engineering team develops electrifying designs with our customers before sending the products to the next room for in-house production. As an Engineering Supervisor you will: • Become intimately familiar with ESSMetron's design standards, codes and manufacturing standards • Selection of electrical materials to meet job requirements • Create bills of materials in our MRP system, job-scope, specific to each job requirement • Create AutoCAD elevations, top views, bottom views, section views, complete assembly, and parts drawings for each job requirement • Provide additional verbal and written instructions to support manufacturing and test processes • Review proposals and assist as needed in the quotation support process • Meet the following work objectives: high on time rate, low discrepancies rate, expedited approval drawing package efforts, and any other required objectives that benefit the project, department, or company • Meet the following skill objectives: standard parts for Inventor and CAD, CAD link tool, and company business software • Use product knowledge and expertise to build products and company • Use product knowledge and experience for training • Willing and able to adapt to constant changes in the department and company • Collaborate with all parties to achieve desired outcomes • Perform cost analysis and value engineer jobs/projects to support a lower than quoted cost • Perform routine calculations to ensure designs meet standards and codes per NEC, UL, ANSI, IEEE, NFPA and any other customer requirements per supplied specifications • Occasional travel requirements are part of the responsibilities of this position A successful candidate for this role will: • Have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant field • 4+ years of relevant experience • Switchgear and/or Power Distribution experience a plus!
