A week in the life of an Engineer Support SME you will: + Utilize DoD and USAF engineering principles to enhance weapon system manufacturing, operations, and demilitarization. + Translate user needs into system requirements for design and development of systems and equipment. + Formulate action plans and policies to maintain advanced manufacturing and operational capabilities. + Conduct technical analyses and design feasibility studies, contributing to system concept development. + Evaluate proposals, specifications, and Interface Control Documents for compatibility and feasibility. + Support lifecycle cost analysis and risk assessment, providing insights into producibility and maintainability. + Evaluate test plans and support systems integration throughout the acquisition lifecycle. + Analyze alternatives and create strategies for system manufacturing and support to end-of-life. + Teach Anti-Tamper courses, develop curriculum, and maintain Security Classification Guides (SCGs). + Collaborate with DoD and industry groups to refine and publish SCGs, offering reach back support when needed. Job Requirements + MS/MA or higher in a relevant engineering discipline. + In lieu of the MS/MA or higher in a relevant engineering discipline, a BS in a relevant engineering discipline and a MS/MA or higher, or an equivalent professional degree. A + At least 3 years of experience in a SAP/SCI environment within the last 5 years. + Active Top Secret (TS) clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation. + Eligibility for SCI and SAP access.
