Position Summary
The Engineering Team Lead will work in a cross-functional environment with development, production, repair depot, test engineering, and supplier quality engineering. The Eng Team Lead will work primarily in the areas of process development and documentation, continuous improvement of plant efficiency and quality system tracking and reporting in the hand assembly and configuration of computers and peripherals.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Direct managerial responsibility for 6+ Plant Engineering team membersMentor and develop Plant Engineering team membersReview of engineering changes for suitability and implementation into plant operationsLead Plant Engineering Team in meeting all plant KPIs and ongoing responsibilities such as:New process development and documentationReporting of Cost and Quality operational metrics including key driversContinuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performanceIT System Issue Mitigation and ImprovementFacilities layout for warehouse, production floorDesign evaluation of new and existing products.Production equipment review and selection.Design and evaluation of pack materials.Customer project design and implementation.Other job related duties as assigned.Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience1 to 3 years in a hand assembly environment as a manufacturing/production engineer.Experience in electronic assembly and a leadership position a plusStrong verbal/written communication and presentation skillsAbility to work full-time onsite at our service plant in Alpharetta, GAPreferred Requirements
