Job Description:

MHE (Mini Hydraulic Excavator) engineering team is looking for an engineering tam leader who can lead chassis design on MHE of Caterpillar BCP (Building Construction Division).

In this role you will lead one of chassis design work (hydraulic lines design, light fabrication design, or structure design). You will be in charge of one of above system for MHE less than 4t.
You will be involved in NPI and CPI projects to improve the design of MHE and interact with other design team in US or China to grow your business network.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Join design meeting for collaboration work with other system design team in Japan, US and China.

Design work with 3D models by Creo and create/ release maintain drawings.

Work with manufacturing team for ease of assembly on assembly sequence, assembly tool access etc. through NPI/ CPI.

Work with purchasing and supplier for CPPD (Concurrent Product and Process Development) manufacturability, quality, cost reduction, lead time, design change etc.

Root cause analysis and create countermeasure for failures by checking actual parts, pictures, and FEA result.

Maintenance work to improve assembly, manufacturability, cost reduction. Collaborate with related team to improve design.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)

Over 5 years of relevant work experience (Or equivalent skills)

Basic knowledge of excavator systems

Skills and experiences required:

Language: Japanese - fluent, English - intermediate or better

Logical thinking
