Engineering Tech 2We are adding an Engineering Tech 2 to our E3 team supporting NAS Pax River.
Responsibilities:
Interfaces directly with (AIR – AD6220M) EMC Branch personnel to review discrepancies of equipment discovered during the test and recommend corrective actions.Ability to coordinate the time and use of shared facilities, resources, and equipment. Consistently completes tasks on schedule with minimal supervision.Focuses on personnel safety and risk mitigation; ensures risk decisions are made at the proper level. Oversees the induction and removal of test equipment from equipment lab. Can evaluate and maintain testing equipment as directed by test team members and project leads.Procuring new equipment and consumables based on customers specifications. Manage test equipment calibration schedule. Familiarization of equipment. Inventory test equipment and entire equipment lab. Induction of new equipment. Track equipment. Check in and check out of testing equipment to project team members and project leads. Able to lift at least 30lbs. Handle shipping of test equipment. Maintain scheduled maintenance and upkeep of government vehicle.Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required and 1-year Engineering Technician experience. Active/Current Secret Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
Some courses of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, some Technical or trade school Experience E3/RF/Radar/Comms engineering principalsThis is an SCA position. Pay Rate: $25.72
Other: The selected candidate will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for the required DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
