General Summary:

The Product Development and Test Engineering group develops bench test solutions for design verification of highly integrated RF receivers/transmitters/transceivers, power management, analog and mixed signal ASICs designed by Qualcomm Technologies Inc.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    High School diploma or equivalent.
•    5+ years of basic electrical/electronics engineering, electronics or RF testing, or related experience.

Physical Requirements:
•    Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 25 lbs.

Job responsibilities for this position include supporting RF bench test system development and maintenance, assembling RF bench test systems, configuring test equipment and PCB hardware for specific measurements, calibrating bench test systems, RF matching on test hardware using Smith charts, performing RF measurements, work with and support Bench Test Engineers, IC Design Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Product Engineers to plan, coordinate and execute bench test activities.

Possess a good understanding of electrical concepts and troubleshooting skills.Requires a thorough knowledge of electronic theory with the ability to understand circuit functions with minimal help.Have the ability to understand and work from schematics to troubleshoot and resolve test hardware issues.Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical drawingsPossess a strong  understanding and working knowledge of test equipment (i.e.-  PC’s, micro-controllers and associated software, Windows and PXI control systems, power supplies, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power meters, vector network analyzer).Be familiar with PCB schematic captureMust have good soldering skills.  Be able to solder small components to size 0201 using the aid of a microscope.Able to communicate clearly, organize effectively, and document work thoroughly.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$28.02 - $42.02

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
