Great Day Improvements / Champion Windows - Engineering Technician – Certification & Technical Support
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support engineering, certification, and technical functions within the organization. This critical role ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations while contributing to the enhancement of existing products and the development of innovative new solutions.
As an Engineering Technician, you will collaborate with the product, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure certification programs are maintained, drive improvements in product quality and performance, and provide technical support to the company’s retail brands.
ResponsibilitiesCertification Management
Manage certification and recertification processes to ensure timely updates and renewals.Maintain an accurate database of certifications, documentation, and regulatory requirements.Coordinate with training teams to align certification programs with organizational learning initiatives.Compliance and Standards
Ensure compliance with industry certifications and regulatory standards.Monitor changes to certification requirements and implement adjustments to internal processes.Conduct research on regulatory and code compliance requirements for market expansion.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Provide technical support to manufacturing, product development, and business teams.Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to integrate new technologies and products.Partner with quality and manufacturing teams to enhance and mistake-proof existing processes.Assist in new product development, testing, and certification efforts.Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure conformance to performance and quality standards.Draft and update product installation instructions, fabrication drawings, SOPs, and work instructions.Support the permitting and installation of company products by preparing standard and site-specific drawings.Assist the product, engineering and quality teams in a variety of tasks as required. Qualifications Engineering Technology Associates degree or equivalent.2 plus years of technical engineering experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in driving improvementsProficiency in CAD software and technical applications.Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.Knowledge of certification management, compliance processes, and industry standards preferred.Experience in manufacturing, drafting, construction, or industrial technology is a plus.*Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet business needs.
