Engineering Technician (2024-158) Astronics Subsidiary Astronics AES Location Kirkland, WA Description **Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems** (AES) is seeking an **Engineering Technician** to join our Cabin Electronics Power Team in **Kirkland, WA** . The Cabin Electronics Product Group is the world’s leading manufacturer of in-seat power systems for the commercial airline industry. The system is used by over 280 airlines, IFE suppliers, and all major aircraft OEM manufacturers worldwide. **JOB SUMMARY** The Engineering Technician will support engineering development and production of Aerospace electronic assemblies by performing complex technical tasks relating to Cabin Power Products. This role involves experience in equipment build, repair, and troubleshooting to the component level coupled with accurate document control for FAA reporting. **DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** + Assist development engineering with fabrication, assembly, and configuration of prototype devices from schematics, rough sketches, and verbal instructions. + Troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level. + Assemble and verify test fixtures, cables, and engineering proto-type assemblies. + Conduct development verification testing of engineering proto-type assemblies. + Conduct electrical, environmental, and EMI testing to industry standard requirements (DO-160, D6, ABD). **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** **Education/Experience:** + Associate degree (AS) in Electronics Technology or related field; or equivalent electronics military schooling and experience required. _*High-power electronics and/or high-power avionics technician experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
