As an Engineering Technician, you will support engineering activities in the assembly of prototype semiconductor devices which include fabrication, modification, and assembly of prototypes systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized equipment.
Responsibilities:
Daily activities include building semiconductor prototypes and engineering development parts using assembly equipment such as SMT machine, Towa mold, EO Technics laser marking, Saw singulation, back grinder and x-ray machines.
To perform daily inventory count of parts and support assembly material requirement and shipping request as needed.
Must be able to participate in daily updates, exchange of information in meetings.
Ensure ESD compliance protocols are met and monitor compliance.
Required Experience and Skills:
An associate degree or equivalent years of experience, and 2 years of relevant experience.
Working knowledge and ability to operate and set up any of the following semiconductor assembly equipment: Fuji SMT, DATACON Die Attach, K&S Wire bonder, TOWA Mold, EO Technics Laser marking, Saw Singulation, back grinder and
X ray machines.
Read and interpret schematics, wire bond, and engineering drawings.
Ability to communicate and interact with internal business unit customers on assembly issues and corrective actions.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment under minimum supervision.
Excellent communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Experience in MS office application and windows OS.
Desired Experience and Skills:
Knowledge in different electronic components
Willingness to work extended hours and weekend as necessary
Experience with manual soldering techniques
