Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Engineering Technician 3 located in Northridge, CA.
Responsibilities:
This person will have major responsibilities with partial Material Process (M&P) Engineer and opportunity to join our Mechanical Engineering team of qualified, diverse individuals in located in Northridge, CA.
This role is central to the management of a complex RF test subsystem deployed at multiple locations, maintaining system health, coordinating sparing and repair logistics, and troubleshooting as needed. The impact of this role will be highly visible. The equipment under test is sensitive RF hardware, careful and deliberate hands-on testing and troubleshooting will be needed to develop the expertise required to support the STE. The STE and the systems under test are complex RF Subsystems in full production, supporting these will require an agile mindset to manage a collection of users with a variety of needs simultaneously.
Key responsibilities include:
Test and troubleshooting a complex RF test system.
Maintaining the health for a RF Test system on-site and at multiple suppliers.
Supplier communication regarding STE status and sparing.
Coordination for repair of fixtures and test hardware.
Tracking and maintaining calibration of deployed STE equipment and spares.
On-site repair and STE troubleshooting on an on-call basis.
Periodic supplier visits to assess STE health and updates/repairs as needed.
Collaboration with engineering team on challenges, improvements, and development of solutions for trending issues.
Maintaining support documentation.
Developing test procedures, drawings, parts lists, and failure reports.
Supports design reviews and test activities, as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education.
And/or related technical discipline with 2-5 years of related experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance is required to start
Ability to measure using RF Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and signal generators and interpret RF Test data.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
Self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with some direction.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in RF product design and development.
Experience with environmental testing production assemblies.
Experience with testing Flight Hardware.
Experience with Windows PCs and software installation to configure spare test PCs and help support issues on-site.
Experience with complex test stations using GPIB protocols for communication with various test equipment.

Salary Range: $64,600.00 - $107,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
